16 February 2010 – Kadence International has been selected by Kirklees Council, the Personal Accounts Delivery Authority (PADA), the Welsh Assembly Government, and Westminster City Council to deliver business and consumer insights. As part of its growing activity within the public sector, the market research and insight agency has appointed Gerallt Evans-Hughes as Account Director.
Kadence International has been awarded four research framework agreements in recent months, securing its preferred supplier status to deliver market research services for Kirklees Council, the PADA, the Welsh Assembly Government and Westminster City Council for up to three years. The agreements focus on generating business and consumer insights through the provision of useful and accessible data, which will drive efficiencies and ensure the delivery of relevant public services. The research frameworks range from supporting new product development for the PADA, to the ongoing evaluation of the Flexible Support for Business operating model delivered by the Welsh Assembly Government.
Kieron Mathews, UK Managing Director of Kadence International, comments: “Delivering services in the right way and at the right cost is key to the public sector. Although each organisation’s research requirements vary considerably, they are all engaging with their target market to gain insights that can facilitate informed decision-making. We are delighted that our expertise to generate research that offers real meaning will be used by these parties to shape the future direction of the services they provide.”
Gerallt Evans-Hughes joins Kadence International public and social research team as Account Director. He has extensive market experience gained from working with a number of different local authorities as a Senior Education Advisor, before fulfilling various research and consulting roles at BMG Research, Lorien Research and Mott MacDonald. Gerallt recently chaired ‘The New Place Survey’ dissemination events in London and York, which was organised by the Communities and Local Government Department and Audit Commission to outline residents’ views about their local area and the services available. He is also an active Council Member of the Local Authorities Research & Intelligence Association (LARIA).
Gerallt adds: “The public sector is required to deliver better services with less funding, and understanding the needs of a community is vital in achieving this. Kadence International’s cross-industry experience enables it to bring a method-neutral approach to research, which translates findings into actionable and interesting insights that add significant value to government bodies seeking feedback from their stakeholders. I am pleased to be joining this growing team to share my market knowledge and build upon its existing success.”
